Life is hectic. Getting closer to your dreams can feel impossible at times. It’s even tougher if you have a full-time job and kids.

How do you keep going?

If you don’t set aside time every day to grow and get better, your time will get lost in our ever-busier lives. Before you know it, you’ll be old and wrinkly and wondering where all that time went.

Professor Harold Hill once said, “Pile up enough tomorrows, and all you’ll have is a bunch of empty yesterdays.”

Change your mind about your life and get out of “survival mode.”

This article is meant to make you question how you live your life as a whole. The goal is to help you keep things simple and get back to the basics.

Most people’s lives are full of unimportant and unimportant things, which is sad. They don’t have enough time to work toward something important.

They are trying to stay alive. Are you in survival mode?

Most of us are like butter that has been spread on too much bread, just like Bilbo. The bread is not even ours; it belongs to someone else. Few people have taken the time to control their own lives.

Just one generation ago, it was social and cultural to live our lives on other people’s terms. And many millennials keep this going because this is the only way we’ve been taught to see the world.

But there is a growing awareness that if you work hard and set your mind to it, you can live every moment of your life the way you want to.

You decide what will happen to you.

You are responsible.

You get to decide. You must decide because if you don’t, someone else will. Being unable to decide is a bad choice.

With this short routine in the morning, your life will change quickly.

It may seem like a long list. But in short, it’s not that hard:

  • Wake up
  • Get in the zone
  • Get moving
  • Feed your body the right things.
  • Prepare.
  • Get inspired
  • See the big picture
  • Do something to get ahead.

1. Get 7+ hours of healthy sleep

Sleep is just as important as eating and drinking water, so let’s face it. Even so, millions of people don’t get enough sleep and have crazy problems because of it.

Surveys done by the National Sleep Foundation (NSF) showed that at least 40 million Americans have one of more than 70 different sleep disorders. Not only that, but 60% of adults and 69% of children have at least one problem sleeping at least a few nights a week.

Also, more than 40 percent of adults are so sleepy during the day that it gets in the way of their daily activities at least a few times a month, and 20 percent say it happens a few times a week or more.

On the other hand, getting enough sleep is related to:

  • Memory got better
  • Longer life
  • less pain and swelling
  • More creative ideas
  • More attention and concentration
  • Exercise can help you lose fat and build muscle.
  • Dependence on stimulants like caffeine has gone down.
  • a lower chance of having an accident
  • Less likely to get depressed
  • And a lot more… google it.

If you don’t make sleep a priority, the rest of this blog post doesn’t matter. Who cares if you wake up at 5:00 a.m. if you go to bed at 10:00 p.m.

You won’t get very far.

You might use stimulants to make up for it, but that can’t last. Your health will get worse over time. The goal should be to make things last for a long time.

2. Praying and meditating can help bring clarity and wealth

When you wake up from a good, restful sleep, it’s important to pray and meditate to get your mind back on the good things. What you pay attention to grows.

Prayer and meditation help you feel very thankful for everything you have. The attitude of gratitude is one of plenty. When you think in an abundant way, everything is open to you. There are a lot of opportunities and options for you.

People are magnets. When you’re thankful for what you have, more good things will come your way. Gratitude is contagious.

Gratitude could be the most important key to success. People have said that it is the mother of all virtues.

If you start each day by being grateful and clear, you will attract the best things the world has to offer and won’t get distracted.

3. Physical work that is hard

The National Health Interview Survey from the Center for Disease Control shows that only one-third of American men and women between the ages of 25 and 64 do regular physical activity. This is true even though there is a lot of evidence that shows how important exercise is.

Get into the habit of exercising regularly if you want to be one of the healthy, happy, and productive people in the world. People often go to the gym right away to get their bodies moving. I’ve recently found that doing yard work in the early morning gives me a strong flow of ideas and clarity.

No matter what you like, get your body moving.

It has been found that exercise makes you less likely to feel depressed, anxious, or stressed. It can also help you do better in your career.

Every other part of your life will suffer if you don’t take care of your body. People are whole beings.

4. Eat 30 grams of protein a day

Professor emeritus of nutrition at the University of Illinois, Donald Layman, says that breakfast should have at least 30 grams of protein. In his book The 4-Hour Body, Tim Ferriss also says to eat 30 grams of protein 30 minutes after getting up.

Tim says that this is what his father did to lose 19 pounds in one month.

Protein-rich foods make you feel full longer than other foods because they take longer to leave the stomach. Also, protein keeps the amount of sugar in the blood steady, which keeps hunger from coming on suddenly.

When you eat protein first, your desire for white carbs goes down. These kinds of carbs make you gain weight. Donuts, bagels, and toast come to mind.

Tim gives four suggestions about how to get enough protein in the morning:

At least 40% of the calories you eat for breakfast should come from protein.

Use two or three whole eggs for this (each egg has about 6g protein)

If you don’t like eggs, you can use turkey bacon, organic pork bacon or sausage, or cottage cheese.

You could also make a protein shake with just water.

People who don’t eat dairy, meat, or eggs can get protein from plants. Protein is found in beans, greens, nuts, and seeds.

5. Have a cold shower

Every morning, Tony Robbins jumps into a swimming pool that is 57 degrees Fahrenheit.

Why would he act that way?

Immersion in cold water helps your body and mind in a big way.

When you do it regularly, it makes changes to your immune, lymphatic, circulatory, and digestive systems that last for a long time and make your life better. Because it speeds up your metabolism, it can also help you lose weight.

A study from 2007 found that regularly taking cold showers can help treat depression symptoms often more effectively than taking prescription drugs. That’s because when you drink cold water, your brain sends out chemicals that make you feel good.

There is, of course, some fear about taking a cold shower at first. If you have done this before, you have definitely stood outside the shower dreading the idea of going in.

You might have even talked yourself out of it by saying, “Maybe tomorrow.” Before getting in, I turned the hot water handle.

Or maybe you jumped in but turned on the hot water right away?

I’ve found it helpful to think of it as a swimming pool. Getting into a cold pool slowly is a slow, painful way to die. You just need to jump in. You’ll be fine in 20 seconds.

The same thing happens when you take a cold shower. As soon as you walk in, your heart starts to beat like crazy. Then you feel fine after about 20 seconds.

For me, it makes me more determined and gives me more ideas and inspiration. I practice slowing my breathing and calming down as I stand in the cold water and let it hit my back. After I’ve had some time to myself, I feel very happy and creative. I get a lot of ideas, and I’m really motivated to reach my goals.

Plus, it’s good for you to do something scary first thing in the morning. It makes you feel alive and encourages you to live outside your comfort zone.

6. Listen to or read something positive.

People like you and me want to have fun. People who want to learn are out of the ordinary. Most of the most successful people in the world read at least one book each week. They are always learning new things.

I can easily listen to one audiobook a week on my way to and from school and while walking around campus.

Even if you only spend 15–30 minutes every morning reading something positive and helpful, it changes you. It gets you into the zone so you can do your best work.

You will have read hundreds of books if you live for a long time. You’ll know a lot about a lot of things. You’ll change the way you think and look at the world. You’ll be able to see more links between different things.

7. Look at your life’s goals

You should write down both your short-term and long-term goals. Taking a few minutes to read your life vision helps you see the big picture of your day.

If you read your long-term goals every day, you’ll think about them every day. If you think about them every day and work toward them every day, they will come true.

It’s a science to reach your goals. It’s clear and easy to understand. No matter how big your goals are, you can reach them if you follow a simple pattern.

One important part of that is to write them down and look at them every day.

8. Do at least one thing to help you reach your long-term goals.

Willpower is like a muscle. When you use it, it gets weaker. In the same way, our ability to make good decisions gets worse over time. The more decisions you make, the worse they are and the less willpower you have.

So, you should do the tough things first thing in the morning. What’s important.

Unless you do it, it won’t get done. You’ll be tired at the end of the day. You’ll get burnt. There will be a million good reasons to start right away. And you’ll start tomorrow, which means you’ll never start.

So you tell yourself, “The worst comes first.” Do what you’ve been meaning to do for a while. The next day, do it again.

If you work on your big goals every day, even if it’s just one step, you’ll see that they weren’t as far away as you thought.
