Do you feel like there isn’t enough time in the day to get everything done? Are you always late for things? Want to get more done in a day?

This article tells you how to be more efficient and productive so you can get more done in less time.

Before we talk about how to be more productive, let’s try to figure out what it means. Productivity is measured by the amount of output for each unit of input. Productivity is a way to measure how efficient something is, and the goal is to make something more efficient.

In technical terms, efficiency is the level of performance that uses the least amount of input to make the most output.

To put it simply, productivity means doing more work in less time.

Find out how to get more done in less time. Here are the top 8 things I’ve learned that have helped me get more done in less time. But let’s take a look at it.

What do we do all day?

Inc. Magazine says that the average person wastes 3 hours and 13 minutes every day on things that don’t need to be done.

Each year, that’s more than a full month. What if you could put away that one month every year for, say, 80 years? That’s 80 months, which is close to 7 years.

Yes, you get 7 more years to do whatever you want it.

Here’s the funny thing. People who are successful probably have more work than most people, but you won’t hear them say those sentences.

I haven’t got enough time.”

“I’m so busy”.

“I’m behind schedule”.

What gives? They know how to make good use of their time.

Let’s look at how we can do the same thing and make better use of our time.

1. Make a list of things you need to do every day and rank them.

The first thing you should do is make a weekly and daily list of things you need to do.

Not only should you write a list, but you should also try to finish it on time or early.

Set priorities and try to finish the most important tasks before the less important ones.

There are a number of tools for measuring and improving productivity out there. Tasks can be done faster if time is set aside and reminders are set.

2. Look at how productive you are and measure it.

It is very important to keep track of how much time you spend on different tasks and evaluate them.

Write down what you did and how long it took, and use tools to figure out how productive you were. You can also compare them to the average time and rate them.

Exercise: Write down how long you spend on each task every day and look over it. Consider it. For example, I started working on an article that took me two hours to write one morning.

3. Use your time well

If you do better work on certain tasks at certain times, do those tasks at those times. For example, some people write better at night, while others can concentrate better in the morning.

Set up phone calls, meetings, and emails when you’re not making progress on other tasks.

Use your best time to do the things that are the hardest.

4. Group tasks that are similar and do them all at once if you can.

By putting tasks together, you can save time and get more done. Here are some suggestions for group projects:

  • Turn off alerts and schedule time to do certain things.
  • Don’t answer every email right away unless you need emails for your job.
  • Instead of answering one email at a time, check your email every hour or two.
  • If you can, set aside time for phone calls and meetings.
  • Set aside time for social media, and don’t keep your phone on your desk at work.

5. Stop doing a lot of things at once and focus on one thing at a time

The human mind isn’t good at doing many things at once. Focusing on one task at a time is better. Stanford University did a study that showed that doing too many things at once is bad for your brain.

Forbes says that multitasking lowers IQ and hurts the brain.

Here are 10 risks of multitasking, according to 10 Real Risks of Multitasking, to Mind and Body:

7. Take both physical and mental breaks.

Taking frequent breaks for your body and mind helps you get more done.

Don’t work if you aren’t getting anything done.
